Welcome to IPHB

The Institute of Psychiatry & Human Behaviour (IPHB) was established as an independent entity on 8th December 1980, when the Department of Psychiatry of the Goa Medical College was amalgamated into a single Department of the Government at the Institute of Psychiatry and Human Behaviour.

The IPHB was shifted from Altinho, Panaji to a newly built premises admeasuring 27.6 Hectares of land on 28th May 2001, in close proximity with the tertiary care hospital, Goa Medical College, Bambolim, Goa.

The Institute of Psychiatry & Human Behaviour is based in Bambolim & strives to promote mental health. It gives me immense pleasure to be Dean/Director of the Institute of Psychiatry & Human Behaviour, Bambolim — Goa, that the department has started an official website for the benefit & easy way to locate and get information about our institution on the fingertips.
